Profile and story

A few days before his first birthday, Zachary was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia. His family had just moved here from the U.S., so the young boy was treated in his new adopted city, at the Charles-Bruneau Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Unit at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval.

As you'll soon see, Zachary loves everything to do with Christmas, summer and winter alike. His favorite animal? The reindeer. His favorite character? Santa Claus. His favorite books? Books set during the holiday season, of course! His overflowing imagination makes him a passionate and endearing boy.

Zachary is lucky enough to live within walking distance of his grandparents, whom he sees regularly. After taking part in the Cup for the first time in 2023, his grandfather and several members of Zachary's family entourage will be back for the Quebec Cup this year. Keep an eye out for Team Zaquiqui, created in honor of our hero!
