Competition between employees/departments
Find out who your most generous donor is and present a prize (ex. movie tickets) to the winner.
Lateness
Employees who arrive late to a meeting must make a donation.
Denim Day
Exercise the right to wear jeans in exchange for a donation ($5/employee, $10 /manager, $20/ senior manager).
Operation “Empty Pockets”
Employees are invited to drop the change in their pockets into large containers set up near the elevators.
Get employees involved
Use internal communications tools to get the company and its employees involved in a cause: website, internal newsletter, … Integrate a fundraising initiative into an existing activity for employees (golf, 5 à 7, dinner, etc.)
“Half-Half” competition
By purchasing tickets, the employee has a chance to win half of the total sum raised.
Email signature
Add the email signature in your toolbox (once connected to your profile) to your current signature and refer your contacts directly to your online profile.
Solicitation
Solicit clients/suppliers/employees by sending them a letter with a donation form or an email with a link to the online donation page.
Draw
Use the draw suggested by the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau to solicit people in your network of contacts (the total sum collected via ticket sales will be recorded in the donations collected by the cyclist).
Bowling night
Plan a bowling night by asking the owner for his or her collaboration.
Homemade goodies
Hold a bake sale and sell cookies at a fixed price or solicit a donation from among a selection by explaining where the money will go and showing the progress of donations raised from one day to the next. Repeat the experience if colleagues/friends ask for the recipe.
Spaghetti dinner
Hold a spaghetti dinner, but keep a close eye on your expenses! The goal is to raise as much money as possible at the lowest possible cost.
Hotdog party
Organize a hotdog party. Ask your grocer to sponsor you by providing the wieners and buns, and invite your neighbours. Tell everyone about your cause to raise awareness among as many people as possible.
Challenge
Ask your colleagues or friends to present you with a challenge in exchange for a donation. You’d be surprised at how much money you can raise with this little game! You’ll find that many people will jump at the chance to issue a challenge that makes you look comical, but it will pay off!
Garage sale
Hold a garage sale or a bazaar so that others can reuse objects that you no longer use (books, clothing, electronics, furniture, etc.). You will make people happy without even realizing it!
Sporting activities
Stage a sporting activity in a location loaned to you in order to save on costs (benefit hockey game in a neighbourhood arena, relay race, yoga in support of the Fondation, etc.).
Share
Another way to let your friends and contacts know about your involvement in a cause is to share photos or statuses on different social media networks while including a link to your personal page so that people can donate to you directly online. Use the hashtag #TourCCB (Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau) and identify the @Fondation in your publications (Fondation Charles-Bruneau).
